This is a replica of the USN M-421A summer flight jacket.
The jacket is made of combed twill with a natural gloss finish and features a nickel-plated Talon #5 zipper, cowhide side, and vintage bottom stop. The slightly curved sleeve body is cut, and the triangular cut under the arm and the pleats on the back make it easier to move. The slightly closed waist and hem make for a crisp bomber jacket.
Point collar. Full-zip front with a leather zipper pull. Talon 5# zipper.
Long sleeves.
Two front waist buttoned pockets. The left chest has an inner pocket.
10 oz. twill cloth, 100% cotton.
Machine washable.

Good jacket for the price. It came very wrinkled, but after I took it to the dry cleaners for a pressing it turned out alright. Also, the interior pocket's lining is not sewn into the jacket, and whenever I put it on, I have to make sure to flatten it with my hand so it doesn't cause a visual bump from the outside. The fit and historical accuracy are solid.

This one is almost perfect but I am not 100% happy with this one. Either I am between two sizes or actual sizes are very different from one jacket to another. Let me explain: I am 1,76 m and weigh 71kg. Ordered it in 40 and it was super large and sleeves were unusually long. Switched to size 38 and now it is rather close to the body and length and sleeves are almost too short (I mean it still looks ok but more like a short or slim fit).
I wish I could machine wash it to give it a vintage appearance and also because actual color is more yellowish/redish than the khaki color on Bronson pictures, but I’m too afraid it may shrink and fit even shorter than before. Not sure how I would look like in reenactment with this one because of the modern fit on me but looks good on a daily basis.
I ordered this jacket from Bronson since I heard from my friend's about their quality clothing. The prices of order the jacket was a breeze. The size guide was spot on for me. I received my order within a week. The m421a fits very well and I love it. It has been my daily driver since I received it. The craftsmanship is great. The stitching on my jacket is flawless. I look forward to order more items in the near future.
I really like the perceived authenticity of this jacket. Details like the pen pocket and the label on the inside pocket lift it up even more. I washed the jacket on low temperature and after that washed it again with a water repellent agent added. It gives the jacket a slightly used appearance. I added a squadron patch and USN nameplate plus a USN stencil on the inside pocket. Size 44.
Attention: colour is off because of artificial lighting, it is less tan in real life.
Perfect fit! The quality matches even the top-tier reproduction companies of the market. Bronson does not disappoint. The material is light and perfect for wearing in any occasion! And it seems sturdy when doing any kind of work. Overall I am pleased with the fit and the perfect workmanship quality. I added a WW2 US Navy fighter squadron patch, VF-83. With the patch the jacket dramatically changes to an even more authentic look just like the Naval aviators wore.

Absolutely love styling this jacket with jeans or sweatpants. It’s an easygoing look and is super light but still has a durable feeling to the material.
This is a nice version of the WWII Navy jacket. Fabric and fit is good- no need for me to size up, but is trim fitting. Unfortunately, the zipper is on the wrong side for the US - the pull is on the left like a European jacket.
Size 38 was the perfect fit for me at 5' 10", 150 lbs, with a 39.5" chest. Zipper pulls were installed on the incorrect side on the size 38 jackets in this initial production run, but Bronson's customer service was extremely helpful and provided an acceptable resolution.
Purchased two of these jackets in sizes 38 and 40. At 5'-10", 150 lbs, with a 39.5" chest, the 38 was the slightly better fitting jacket of the two. Unfortunately, there is one glaring issue with the size 38 jackets. The zippers are installed backwards and the zipper pull is located on the left side of the chain (vs the right/ windflap side). The size 40 jacket (shown in photo) did not have this problem. The jacket, as shown in photo, has been laundered twice on colors water temperature setting and medium dryer heat setting. Zipper pull has been replaced with an original Talon M-42 with correct style zipper stops.

Great jacket for the summer and spring seasons. The fabric is very lightweight and breathable and the fit is fairly roomy, particularly in the arms, which makes the jacket comfortable to wear. Plus the jacket itself looks nice and is easy to match with other clothing.
The delivery in just 6 days was super fast! The jacket is a perfect light spring jacket in a great quality and perfect fit. I choose size 44 and it looks like made for me, I am 100kg and 6.4 tall.
A nice weight jacket, suitable for spring and fall. Well made and good quality throughout. My only issue is that the sleeves are too long (or my arms too short!). Otherwise very good.
