I'm 6'-0" tall and weigh 170-lbs. with a 32" waist. Size S fits me perfectly, as though it was custom tailored. The quality of the fabric and the stitching seems to be very high. This garment is remarkably stylish. The day I received it, I put it on, over a white vintage short-sleeve henley t-shirt (size M), and went out for dinner... after about 20-minutes seated at a table in a restaurant, a complete stranger issued a compliment and asked me about it. I'm sure there will be more compliments to come. The short-sleeve henley shirts are quite stylish as well. My wife agrees too. This was my first experience with Bronson Mfg. and I am totally impressed with the quality of these items.

Top notch quality and highly detailed reproduction. I'm 1.90/100 kgs and choose the largest size. Highly recommended in combination with the matching pants

Very sharp looking military shirt. I like this particular model more than the 5th Model because of the addition of the shoulder epaulettes, lighter color and fabric choice. It overall feels very high quality and somewhat heavy. I ordered size S so that the shirt wouldn’t feel too loose while wearing as I have a slim frame. A minor issue I have is that the sleeves are a bit shorter than what is listed on the website, exposing my wrist more than I would like. My measurements are 6ft tall, 38in chest, 32in waist and weigh 152lbs. Both the 1st model and 5th model have the following measurements: Chest armpit to armpit : 22.5in Length from neck seam down: 29in Shoulders seam to seam: 18.5in Sleeve shoulder seam to cuff: 23in

Seems good. I can recommend this! Shipping was faster than I expected! A few loose threads and such were present when I received this jacket but nothing particularly concerning. We shall see how the durability holds up in the long term as I wear this more over the coming summer. Bronson's support was very helpful with ensuring I picked the correct size, even so I was slightly concerned about the fit in the shoulders when first trying it but I think this was just a matter of getting used to how the epaulettes change the feeling of how the jacket sits on my shoulders.

Reminds me of the first surplus shirt I picked up back when I was a kid. Solid made, and works well as a light jacket or a mid layer. Good three season shirt.

The jacket is well made and is a faithful reproduction of the original (except that the fabric is a bit heavier, but Bronson is up front about this in their description). All in all, a great item. I purchased a medium and it's true to size. It's roomy enough for me to layer it with a hoodie.

Excellent value.

Store owner replied: Thank you for your kind words! We’re glad you feel the quality and value are worth it, and we truly appreciate your support.

The jacket is really nice, fits well, I went for a size L (at 180cm/82kg) and fits perfect. My only remark is that it has a much different color to the one on the photos.

Store owner replied: Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re sorry to hear that the color looked different from what you expected. Colors may appear slightly different depending on lighting, screen settings, and the garment’s finish, but we understand that this can still be disappointing. However, We’ve shared your feedback with our team and will continue to pay close attention to this. We truly appreciate your feedback and support!

Like: excellent quality. Great value for the money. Dislike: customer service recommended size M; I ended up buying a size L instead, and even that is a bit small on me (esp. sleeve length). Bottom line, though: I will be back, paying close attention to the detailed garment measurements provided.

Store owner replied: Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you’re happy with the quality and value of the product. We’re sorry the sizing recommendation didn’t fully match your needs, especially regarding the sleeves. We appreciate you taking the time to review the detailed measurements, and your feedback will help us improve our sizing guidance in the future. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to serving you again!

I like the jacket, but have to note the following: the size M was recommended to me (5'11'', 172 lbs.) by Paul in Bronson's customer service dept., who suggested that even that might be "too baggy" on me (almost like he was talking to somebody else when he gave me this advice, I think, in hindsight). Having thought it over and checked the measurements page, I decided to go with a size L instead. I'm glad I did, and I have to note that even the L is on the skimpy side on me--esp. the sleeves, which could be an inch longer, as far as I am concerned. So: sorry, but no 5-star review from me.

Loved it. Great jacket. Im 5’11” and 200 pounds and the Large was just a tad too small.

Store owner replied: Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you’re happy with the jacket, and we appreciate you sharing your sizing experience —it’s very helpful for others.

Nicely constructed jacket. Very light, works best as a chore jacket or any occasion you want a layer for chilly days that don't call for a thick jacket. I ordered an XS, I usually wear Small in most jackets. The team in Bronson helped out with selecting the right size for me. I am 5'9" 158 pounds and I can't imagine the small would've been flattering. Thank you.

1963 1st Model Tropical Jungle Fatigue Jacket

Great fit, I recommend talking to the customer service, I had the fit correct from the first jacket. No construction issues or issues with colour. Fabric and buttons are all nice and match images/description. The pockets are fully functional and do not look funny when items are put in despite inward fold design, which is a big positive. The jacket is very breathable and is definitely to be used in hotter conditions, it won’t provide much warmth in winter, so good to layer with I suppose. Jacket is easy to wash and maintain. The button closure is accurate and is definitely unique with this jacket type, can take long to close up at first but it is correct. Top pocket features useful hole for sunglasses or pens. Overall this is a very practical spring jacket with many pockets and good comfort.

Great jacket, perfect addition. Lightweight and versatile. Just beware the bottom pocket are large so you need to keep them buttoned if you have stuff in them.

Great jacket, the Bronson team recommended I size up and were super helpful in the ordering process. The jacket fits great and I was grateful for their help!

Love the Tropical 1st pattern jacket but I do need to order a medium that appears to be out of stock at the moment hopefully you will have a restock soon , Great Product

1963 1st Model Tropical Jungle Fatigue Jacket

As described, I’m 5’10” and the medium fits perfect and snug for under a denim jacket or field coat. Service reps were nice but we’re trying to talk me into a much larger size for reasons I don’t understand. Stuck to my original decision based on measurements and it’s perfect.
